ABOUT JBC DANCE
JBC Dance is a dance school specialising in Ballroom, Latin, & New Vogue styles of dance. We also cover some Classical Sequence and Rock 'n' Roll styles of dance.
Janita is qualified in all 3 Dancesport styles - Ballroom, Latin & New Vogue through the New Zealand Federation of Dance Teachers.
We teach in a fun, relaxed environment so that you can learn at your own pace in a way that suits you.
As a teacher, there is no greater reward than seeing our students' faces light up when they achieve and enjoy what they have been learning.
We have classes for both children and adults, so no matter your age or ability we can cater for your needs. If there is enough demand we are always open to setting up new classes, so get a group together and contact us today!

Whether you just want to dance around the room with style and ease, or you want the challenge of medal exams or dancesport we can help you, all the while ensuring you have fun and enjoy yourself.
We hold social dances regularly during the year so that you can put your new skills learnt to good use and have fun at the same time. We also hold Amateur medal examination sessions during the year. Amateur medal examinations are a good way for you to receive feedback about your dancing. There are ten levels of medals in three styles to work for! We have had excellent results, with our medals students receiving highly commended and honours passes from out of town highly qualified examiners.

TERM 2 BEGINNER CLASSES AT PREBBLETON
DUE TO OUR VENUE AT PREBBLETON BEING UNAVAILABLE FOR A SHORT TIME THE START DATE OF OUR TERM 2 BEGINNER CLASS HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO THURSDAY 30TH APRIL.
2026 BEGINNERS CLASSES
Prebbleton - Thursdays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm at Prebbleton School Hall
Term 2 - 30th April to 18th June
Term 3 - 23rd July to 10th September
Term 4 - 15th October to 3rd December.
Avonhead - Wednesdays from 7pm to 8pm at St Marks Church, 105 Withells Road
Term 2 - 22nd April to 10th June
Term 3 - 22nd July to 9th September
Term 4 - 14th October to 2nd December
CHILDREN'S CLASS
Registrations are now open for a Children's Class to be held at Prebbleton School Hall. Dates and times to be confirmed once the class has the minimum number of students registered but it will be on a Thursday afternoon. Minimum number of students needed to run the class is six.
